The process
What to expect
Most people know they should sort their insurance, they just aren’t sure where to start. We begin with a conversation about you and what you’re after, to see if we can help.
Sorting your insurance
Some people know exactly what they’re after and just want a hand getting it sorted, which is fine by me. Most people who come to me have questions though, and want to talk it through first. The good news is it doesn’t take long. A couple of conversations is usually all it takes before we apply to get your cover in place. Here’s how it usually goes.
Getting to know you
The first meeting is about understanding your situation – your family, income, debts, cover in place, and what would happen if something went wrong. It’s the foundation for everything that follows. It takes about 30 minutes, over video or in person in Auckland.
Research & analysis
After our first meeting, we analyse your situation, and build a recommendation based on your priorities and needs. The types of cover, level of cover and the cost. This is where our expertise comes in, and it’s what we prepare for our second conversation.
Recommendation & application
In the second conversation, we walk you through the recommendation. You can ask anything, we make adjustments as needed and nothing proceeds until you’re comfortable. Once it all makes sense, we start the application.
Here for the long haul
Once your cover is in place, we’re in your corner and your first port of call. From answering policy questions, reviewing and adjusting what you have, through to supporting you with a claim, we’re here for the long haul. That’s what having your own adviser is all about.
